Year 2013

2012 was another year of the Lord.

Reviewing my past 100 posts, I see all the hills and valleys that gripped our lives in this country. It was an uncommon year.

In all of these seemingly sad circumstances, God's grace has given us happy endings in various forms, which  helped us move on to come this far: 2013.

This site, leaves of grace, ended the year with an unprecedented spike in hits.
Whatever the reason, I will never know. But this definitely needs a change of header, a celebration and thanksgiving for tender mercies from above.

I am still giving myself some break to get back enough strength after a strenuous but happy clan reunion out of town. It had been a three-day refreshment: re-connecting with cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, whom we do not see for 365 days.

There were no more aunts nor uncles for me and my generation since the last remaining aunt lives abroad* and the rest have gone to glory.

In a day or two, I should be out of my dopey self and have the energy to download the photos in my point-and-shoot camera, then blog about them at length.

Meanwhile, Happy New Year cyber friends! Thank you for keeping in touch in 2012.

We rest upon our God's promise to his children as we wade through 2013:

“Arise, shine: for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” Isaiah 60:1-2 (NKJV)

P.S. *My Auntie Pure died in her sleep in Chicago, Illinois a few hours after I posted this blog. She was 98. Good-bye Auntie . . .

Days, years, loved ones come and go, but the Lord's love remains forever!

Hallelujah, God's love is the only enduring noun on planet earth!
