During last Sunday's sermon, one-year-old Elijah (grandson of one of our church members) went straight to the front pew and listened to our minister for a few minutes without moving. It was as though he stood waiting for his share of grace.
This shot reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 18:3 (NLT),
"I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven."

I remember my youngest two dancing during Praise and Worship (when they were 1 and 3). I leaned down to rebuke them when my friend's husband (they were in their late 70s)said to me how beautiful it was to see the Holy Spirit move in children - because the holy spirit just moves directly to the heart of children giving them a direct infilling where the Holy Spirit has to go through the filters we have set up before we let it freely flow.
Little ones are first in Jesus' kingdom. May we all have their kind of faith.
As a Child, he feels helpless and powerless. Child's faith is a strong force within him in believing from an Able Helper and Powerful Somebody to meet his ends at the moment. His experience that time will have great effects on his person. One of the difficulties of developing a Child's faith in an adult's life is the vast opportunity of liberal explorations and resources which are available at the tip of our hands this days. This means that unless we see ourselves as nothing and we can not do anything, we can not experience the Little Child's kind of faith. Paul said in Phil 4:13, "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." Contentment in the hand of God is the expression of the child's faith is unshakable! Trust the Lord for everything. He is the source of anything you need.
