My Christmas blogs are still being written in January. Tomorrow, it will be February, and I am still at it. I may even step into March.
There were tons of activities in December, prying me away from my keyboard. But there is no rule on blogs being chronological, is there?
Back to the Christmas season . . .
Our church choir, no less, came a-caroling, singing not the usual traditional holiday songs, but specially arranged yuletide anthems. They came to bring good tidings, spread cheer, wish love, joy--all summed to a Merry Christmas.
Right there on the street where they could be heard by our neighbors on all sides (our house is situated at a corner of two streets). I could not let them in because our various whatchamacallits--furniture, books, equipment, and doodads, etc.--were still not in their proper places after our house renovation. A good thing, too, because not only did our household hear the voices of angels, but the whole block did!
They wouldn’t accept any gift, not even a token. Instead they, led by our pastor, prayed for us, and gave us a pack of fresh fruits.
